WHAT IS COBB MOUNTAIN ART AND ECOLOGY PROJECT?
Comprehensive ceramics facility with a variety of kilns to support wood, gas, salt/soda and electric firings.
An artist in residence program, where residents learn sustainable land management practices and allow daily interactions with nature to inspire their studio practice.
A community hub for locals to take classes, purchase artwork and attend special events.
A venue for workshops with professional artists and horticulturalists to share their knowledge and expertise.
The 80 acres of mixed conifer forest land is continually managed for fire safety and ecological health, the goal being to re-establish a fire cycle and promote botanical diversity.
Through responsible stewardship we monitor botanical growth to nurture ecological education in our community.
Through experimentation we continue to explore how and where plants thrive in the various soils and exposures on the land.
The engagement with the ecosystem will serve to strengthen the connection for those involved and lead to art informed and inspired by this stewardship.
A regenerative organic farm with seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables.
